Martin attended the University of Guelph where he majored in Drama
and English. A life long resident of Oakville, he now lives in Burlington
with his wife Elizabeth and their three children.
He entered the financial services industry in 1979 with The Great
West Life Assurance Company. In 1987, he accepted a position with
Fiscal Agents to look after the retirement planning needs of their
clients. Martin specializes in retirement income, tax effective
wealth creation and management strategies and estate planning.
As a well-respected financial advisor, Martin's opinions on financial,
insurance and investment matters have appeared in The Financial
Post, Toronto Star, and The Globe & Mail. Good Age Magazine,
the Oakville Beaver and it's sister publication Forever Young (Today's
Senior) have also featured his writing and he has appeared on television
as a guest on "The Best Is Yet to Come".
Martin is currently working on his accreditation as a Certified
Financial Planner. Community involvement revolves around The Knights
of Columbus. In addition, he participates in local community and
church activities.
